About StatementHarbor

A small, independent tool for one job: turning PDF bank statements into clean spreadsheets without asking you to hand over the file.

Why this site exists

StatementHarbor started with a frustration familiar to any bookkeeper: you need a client's last 12 statements in Excel, and every online converter either wants an account, caps you at a few pages a day, or — most uncomfortably — asks you to upload confidential financial documents to a server you know nothing about.

Modern browsers can read PDF files directly, so the upload step is optional. We skipped it. Everything this tool does happens in your browser using JavaScript; the statement is never transmitted anywhere. You can verify this yourself: open your browser's network tab while converting, or disconnect your Wi-Fi after the page loads — it keeps working.

How the tool is funded

The site runs on static hosting that costs a few dollars a year, and the converter runs on your computer, so each conversion costs us nothing. The site is supported by unobtrusive display advertising and, later, an optional paid tier for bulk features. We do not sell data — there is no data to sell, because we never receive your statements.

Our standards

Who is behind it

StatementHarbor is built and maintained by a small independent team with a background in web development and a healthy respect for financial data. We're not accountants, and nothing on this site is financial advice — we just build the pipe between your bank's PDF and your spreadsheet.

Found a statement that doesn't parse? Tell us the bank and what went wrong. Real user reports are how the parser improves.
